Hello and welcome to my frequently asked questions page. Here I will list information about how I work and what you can expect from me if you choose to order.
How much will it cost?
I don’t pull figures out of the air for making things. I charge for the yarn at the price I purchase it at, and charge by how much yarn and other items (stuffing, eyes, etc) it takes to make your item. I can work to patterns and give you a price or in the case of custom orders I can work to a price you would prefer to pay and work around that.
Postage
Postage varies per item, I won’t charge you more than I pay to send you your items, so it will be worked out at the end when the item is finished.
Deposits
If you’re a first time customer over the internet I will ask for a small non-refundable deposit to be payed before work is started. That’s to cover me and you to establish trust for both parties. The deposit amount is always taken away from the full amount for the finished items.
Custom Orders
I will contact you as much as possible, I am willing to send drawings, or work to ones you send if you feel so inclined. I don’t want you disappointed with any aspect of your order so I will work it out until you are completly happy with everything.
Safety
I use brand new toy stuffing, regulated to UK laws. I will ask for the age of the recipient if eyes are involved in the item. This is because I can’t use safety eyes for under threes, they are a choking hazard, although they are more likely to damage a tooth.
Washing Items
For toys, spoge cleaning is the best way to remove marks, I use yarn thatcan be machine washed at 30°c on a wool cycle. Please ensure the entire item is dry as they get well stuffed and can hold a lot of water.
Clothing and blankets depend on the yarn used. I will happily supply any instuctions you need with your crochet items.
